Artistic Manifesto

'Il s'agit d'arriver à l'inconnu par le dérèglement de tous les sens.' - Arthur Rimbaud

The artists of MorphoDidius strive towards Rimbaud's 'boundless and systemized disorganisation of all the senses.' In a world where the existing norms, values and structures are rapidly changing – in part through the discoveries of new technologies – they no longer find inspiration by clinging to the divisions between the different artistic disciplines. They realise old forms using new techniques, creating a dialogue between existing conventions and new technologies.

MorphoDidius creates theatric performance art by combining dance, electronic and concrete art and music, theatre, and interactive media. By leaving out obvious contextual connections in their works, MorphoDidius forces the audience to create these connections themselves. The appreciation of their work therefore requires a certain amount of wit and fantasy from the audience. Under the guise of Neo-surrealism, they un-train the audience of voyeurs to create an audience of voyants.
